Welcome to my portfolio page. Rather than clutter it with a lot of work, I've chosen some more recent designs to show case a range of skills.

I have experience with Adobe InDesign, Corel Draw and Ventura and Microsoft Publisher for print and advertising design. Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator for image manipulation and creation, as well as Adobe Dreamweaver for creating CSS based webpages.

I like to concentrate on providing simple, yet effective design that is meets the needs of the projects ethos and the clients' personality.

A website designed for a local horse breeder, specialising in Arabian, Throughbred and Welsh horses, as well as part breds. The clients wanted a simple, friendly looking site to showcase their horses. The design is of green colour scheme to be in keeping with the woods in the area, and gold as requested by the client. It was created in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Dreamweaver using CSS and HTML standards. As well as creating the initial design I am also responsible for maintaining the site.

At the present time I am also designing the layout for Radnall Wood's sister site, Scarlet Arabian Bridles.

Radnall Wood Horses

A personal project to create a personal identy for use on business cards, emails, letterheads and of course this website. Initially I sketched up a miriad of ideas but settled on the featured one as it is simple and translates well onto a range of mediums.

Another personal project to create my business cards. This also incorporated logo design, as detailed above. Rather than just give out cards with my contact information and a logo I added the personal touch of adding a couple of sentances about myself and what I do. The front of the cards were created in Adobe Photoshop. I made several different colour variations and had the cards printed by MOO.com. Allowing me to have a pack of 50 cards made with a choice of colours in one print run.

Part of a college project to create layouts for stories within the magazine. The main background image, of the paper and paint, was created in photoshop, as was the header image to make it look like it was coming through the page. The rest of the page was laid out in InDesign, using pre-determined styles. To view a PDF version of the pages I created please click here.

Part of a college competition to create the summer edition of the NFBP’s magazine. Unfortunately this design wasn’t chosen, but it gave me good experience in designing layouts for a customer. The magazine was created using InDesign. The story headlines were created in Illustrator and Photoshop. I kept the design very clean, with a lot of white space and consistant styles, using the article titles to illustrate and fit in with their content. Please click here to see a PDF version.

Also a 'real world' college project. Initially we were asked to create a logo for the Torbay Chiropractic Clinic. However, my design was not favoured. We were then asked to create a new leaflet for them as well. In the end the client liked my layout but along with a nother students logo. The spinal illustration and 2 maps were created in Adobe illustrator along with other imagery manipulated in Adobe Photoshop. These, along with the supplied text, were all brought together using Adobe InDesign. To view a PDF version of the leaflet please click here.
